My first English blog
Hello everyone, I'm studying licenciatura in Translation (English-Spanish; Spanish-English) and one of my homeworks is to create this English blog, is the first I do, it's a new experience, I have to apply what I learned through many years, not only in the University but also in Elementary School and High School.
Write in English is not so easy as many people think, it requires study and practice, so it is important to practice writing brainstorm, list of ideas, reading literature, books, etcetera. Nowadays there are many exercises on line that one can use to improve the writing part. Of course, in general one need other skills as listening, speaking, and reading to improve the language.
Have you already have a blog in a second foreign language? What do you think to write in a foreign language?
For my partners of the university, how do you feel with this homework?
Your opinion is important, I encourage you to learn other languages. I love translation and I want to improve day by day.
Hi Delia! I do have some experience writing blogs or content in a foreign language, and as you said, it is not as easy as anyone could think at first. You need to use all the basic writing skills when you start writing in any language, and until you fully understand what works for you to send a message you need to keep using all the basics; once you see what works for you, your writing will flow more and transmit more information.

Thank you for sharing your opinion on this homework. Actually, I don't like the idea of writing in a second language, but I have to admit it makes you feel confident in your own skills. Therefore, it is a good way to practice and make other non-native Spanish speakers know your viewpoint!

I have to admit that I liked this homework, it finally made publish something! and doing it in another language will boost our confidence with regards to writing skills. I think it's a good way of sharing our knowledge, thoughts and feelings. We should keep doing it.

It seems easy but when I had to choose a topic for my first entry a lot of things came to my mind. Finally, I wrote about something I was talking to a friend this afternoon related to work.
ResponderEliminarWriting in English is a good way to practice, confidence is a big matter to me because I read everything at least 10 times before I finally decide to click publish, but the more times you do it, the easier it gets.
